I was so thrilled to be invited as a Speaker by the Ontario Bar Association’s Institute. The Ontario Bar Association (OBA), a branch of the CBA, represents close to 16,000 lawyers, judges, notaries, law teachers and law students from across the province. Approximately two-thirds of all practicing lawyers in Canada belong to the CBA.

It was a pleasure to host the Law Society of Ontario’s annual Asian & South Asian Heritage Month event. The topic this year was Access to Justice: Opportunities and Risks for the Legal Profession.

I was thrilled to be invited as a speaker at Canadian Lawyer's Employment Law Masterclass for lawyers. Topics at this event included reducing liability, health & safety guidelines and legal strategies for worker retention in today’s red hot labour market.

Maneesha Gupta presented again at the Justice in Pieces session on Mindful Lawyer Canada and the state of diversity and inclusion in the legal profession. Nearly 200 guests have joined Justice in Pieces in 2020. Previous guests include: NDP Party Leader Jagmeet Singh, Honourable Andrew Scheer, MP Elizabeth May, MP Jenny Kwan, Mayor Patrick Brown, the Honourable Lori Anne Thomas, Jordana Goldlist, Leena Yousefi, and all five paralegal benchers serving with the Law Society of Ontario.

Maneesha Gupta - November 9, 2021, Mental Health and Wellness Insights from Around the World, an international panel hosted by the Ontario Bar Association. It was an absolute delight to discuss with esteemed experts what the UK, USA, Singapore, Canada and New Zealand are doing to promote lawyer sustainability and wellbeing.

I was also joined by my fellow IP colleague, Paul Lomic. Like myself, my fellow colleagues on the panel research and develop initiatives that are relevant to the rule of law, the legal profession and the broader global community. We engage with legal professionals, law firms, law societies and bar associations, governments, non-governmental organisations and international institutions to ensure innovative, collaborative and effective outcomes for mental health.It’s amazing that judges in some of those jurisdictions are leading conversations and being role models for the rest of the profession. They have made it to the top, and they want to make sure that the others are able to follow in ways that ensure overall health and well-being.

Maneesha Gupta presented at this special alumni panel, featuring my fellow colleagues on York’s Top 30 Changemakers Under 30 who have achieved great success in their entrepreneurial endeavors. I discussed my career as an IP and technology lawyer and the highs and lows of running your own start up. Panelists included: Giancarlo Sessa, Co-founder and CFO, Blade Filters; Shant Joshi, Owner and Producer, Fae Pictures; Maneesha Gupta, Founder, Mindful Lawyer Canada.

Maneesha Gupta was pleased to present at The Canadian Institute’s 22nd Annual Advanced Administrative Law & Practice Conference held on October 28-29, 2021. The conference involved essential professional development for counsel and senior decision makers at organizations and addressed the most critical challenges affecting professionals working in the administrative and regulatory sectors.

Maneesha Gupta was pleased to speak at St. Robert Catholic High School on career success, pathways, job strategies and skills development. St. Robert Catholic High School is a secondary school in Thornhill, Ontario, Canada. Maneesha graduated from the school’s International Baccalaureate (IB) program.
